Inside a Vegetation Protection Overlay the test changes again and catches vegetation over 10 metres. We design to that from the first sketch: levels, structure and planting set around the trees that are staying, with the paperwork lodged at the Civic Centre on Springvale Road rather than left to chance. We plan and build the same way across Mount Waverley, Wheelers Hill and Vermont, and when the build is finished we lay the lawn that completes it as turf installation in Glen Waverley.

Since 15 September 2025 a planning permit has been required to remove, destroy or lop a canopy tree, meaning one more than 5 metres tall with a trunk circumference over 0.5 metres measured at 1.4 metres above the ground and a canopy at least 4 metres across, where it stands within 6 metres of your street frontage or 4.5 metres of your rear boundary. Can you design around a tree we are not allowed to take out?
